Ok, this is going to keep me going for a while, I’m going to have to list and review all the live beach & surfcams on surfline.com. They’re AWESOME! Seriously, great list of live webcams (surfcams)…

Today I’m featuring and listing an image capped from their Waimea Bay Surfcam.

Although it looks a little overcast today, I’d still love to be there. I spent all day yesterday down in Ventura & Santa Barbara, and although there was a bit of that beachy June-Gloom that coastal folks are used to, it cleared up and turned out to be a rocking day.

Today’s addition to the live beach cam page is the Santa Monica Pier Webcam. I particularly like this one as I lived in Santa Monica for a brief period of time in the late 70s when I was a kid. I have some good memories of that time and watching this cam brings some of those back.

It also brings back lots of memories from when I cut class in HS and went to the beach….

Ok, yes, summer is still here and as promised another beach cam was added to the live beach webcams page.

Today’s edition is from Panama Beach, FL… A hot spot during spring break for sure, and really any time of the spring and summer.

Ok folks, it’s summer time, so I’m gonna start focusing on updating the live beach webcams page. I love beach webcams anyways, but since it’s summer I am DEFINITELY in the mood to fill up that category.

I remember a few years back when I lived in Shell Beach, CA I was going to setup a cam and never got around to it. Now that I don’t live on the beach anymore, and TOTALLY miss it, I’m seriously jonesin for more live webcams from anything water related, but especially the ocean.

Ok, well I hope you enjoy today’s entry, it’s from Key West, FL and has about 17 cams for you to choose from. Really a pretty nice site. And I love the keys, I only made it down to Bahia Honda back when I was stationed at Homestead AFB, FL just prior to Hurricane Andrew blowing it away. It feels like a lifetime ago. I loved South Florida (except the humidity!)… The atmosphere of parts of Miami and the Keys were a blast, especially being a young 20-something single guy.

It so happens that is also where I ended my single life and got married. I can’t believe it’s gonna be 13 years of marriage next week. Ok, now I’ve seriously babbled too much for today’s update. Anyways, enjoy the webcam and have a great rest of the week!

I had to add this one, as it’s one of my favorites.

I know it may be boring to some, bit since I lived there for over 8 years at one point in my life, the view of the Catalina mountains off in the distance is nice. Sometimes it’s also nice to check the weather that they have embeded on the image and remember how nice and cool it is where I live now.

Don’t get me wrong, it was a DRY HEAT, but when it didn’t cool down much at night in the middle of the summer it was brutal. The rest of the year (outside of summer) is awesome in Tucson.

Dug up an old but cool article at wired.com where they talked about our troops stationed far from home being able to communicate via, email chat and webcams. I remember in my previous life being stationed overseas many times and those ‘morale calls’ as they were referred to really made a difference.
